🎾 THE MIKE DRIVER (MAD) MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT Sunday 6th September 2026🎾

38 players competed in the annual MAD tournament, organised by Wendy & Vivien.  It was a great colourful tribute to Mike played in warm sunshine, with fun, fairness, and frivolity.


In 3rd place, after countback, came the Cornish Crackers (captained by Rakesh), in 2nd place the Triumphs (captained by Ana P), and in 1st place, after winning all of  their matches were the Sundowners (captained by Andy B). The team members were: Helen, Vish, Anthony, Steve and Sirje.


Wendy’s delicious cakes kept energy levels up all afternoon and huge thanks to Theresa L for scoring.

Presidents Cup 2nd August 2026

The presidents cup was held today at HLTC and it was a great success with a fantastic turn out.

It was a very competitive tournament but in the end we had two worthy winners.

Male Winner: Jose Rial

Female Winner: Helen Sheldon

Big thanks to our president Pete Rutland for organising this event.

HLTC Summer Tournament 2026

The finals toke place on the 3rd and 4th of July it was an amazing turn out with food and refreshments enjoyed by all members of the club.

Congratulations to all the finalists, the tennis was on such a high standard and so competitive, big thanks go out to all the umpires of the day, volunteers, members for turning up and the biggest thanks go to Hugh for organising this event year after year, roll on next year.

EOM Tournament Charity Event

End of the Month tournament  –  JUNE (Sunday 28th)  10am start

Organisers: Gordon Keys and Beverley Bailey

The end of the month tournament in June was a charity event in aid of Swastigan, a Special Needs boy who attends the i-play sessions on Monday mornings run by Beverley and Elena. He has shown exceptional talent and the purpose of the event was to raise funds to help him pay for extra coaching and competition entry fees.

As I write we have raised £1000.

This year 22 players participated. Fortunately the temperature was cooler than of late and everyone enjoyed themselves. The winners were Akshay Patel and Anne White. Congratulations to them both and a big hand to all who played or donated.

HLTC v OH Match

For the second year running a team of Harrow players competed in a friendly match against a team of ex Harrow School Boys.

The match was played with great spirit, a sense of fun and was enjoyed by all players.

Final score HLTC 7 – OH 2.

Harrow Team:  Pete, Colin, Rakesh, Mahesh, Toni, and Kwok.

Christmas Drinks – The White Horse

On Sunday 13 th December from 6:30 pm, Christmas Drinks will be hosted by the Harrow Lawn Tennis Club. Venue is “White Horse Pub, 50 Middle Rd, Harrow HA2 0HL”. Free drinks and nibbles will be provided by the Club. All members are welcome to attend.
